One of the most important things your non-profit can have is a quick and easy way to collect donations. A PayPal donate button or link is my favorite way to accomplish this.
Here’s how:
- Sign into your organization’s PayPal account. (Note that this will not work from a personal PayPal account. If you are using your personal PayPal account, you can generate a PayPal.me link here.)
- Hover over “Tools” and click “All Tools,” then “PayPal Buttons.”
- Change the dropdown to “Donations,” fill in the organization name and/or purpose of the donation in the “Organization name/service” box, and click “Create Button.”
- On the next page, you can either copy the embed code given to you under the “Website” tab and paste it directly into your website, or you can toggle over to “Email” for your custom URL.
